About Us Baldovin Ballet Zagreb was founded in 2020 by Iva Vrgoč and George Alexandru Baldovin , former ballet dancer in HNK Zagreb, SNG Maribor, European Ballet London, Opera House Bucharest, Opera House Iasi and Opera House Constanta. During his career he had the opportunity to work with world wide ranked choreographers like Vladimir Malachov, Nacho Duato, Irek Muchamedov, Eduard Clug, Patrice Bart, Youri Vamos, Leo Mujić, Valeri Koftun, Victor Litvinov, Derek Dean, Van Mannen, Milko Sparemblek, Lorca Massine, Joyce Cuoco, Vladimir Drevianko, Pascal Tozeau, Paul Boos (George Balanchine trust). Currently a freelance professional ballet dancer, choreographer and music composer, he desires to share his knowledge and experience to promote the art of classical ballet. The purpose of Baldovin Ballet Zagreb is to promote and share the love and knowledge for classical ballet and to raise the awareness of art by offering recreational ballet programs that can fulfill almost everything that classical ballet lovers could enjoy.     Eugen Mihai Dobrescu Eugen Mihai Dobrescu was born in Bucharest-Romania. He attend the ballet school "Floria Capsali "-Bucharest at the age of 10 and graduates in 1998. He continues his education attending at the university of ballet "Gheorghe Cristea" and he graduates in 2004 on the choreography department. He starts working as a professional ballet dancer at age of 18 at Opera House Bucharest and soon after he becomes principal ballet dancer. After 6 years with the Bucharest Opera House he joins the Slovene Opera House Maribor, under the direction of Eduard Clug as a principal dancer where he performs for several years followed by tours and different galas and events. In 2007 he joins HNK Zagreb as first soloist where he performs for 10 years in all the major classical and modern ballets. During his career he guesting and performing with the companies abroad in Germany, Netherlands, Italy, United States of America, France, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia and Hungary.     Contemporary Contemporary dance emerged in the mid 20th century. It is a genre of dance which combines several styles and is influenced by both classical and modern ballet. It is considered a very expressive and dynamic form of dance. It incorporates fluidity of movement, focus on the floor work, bouncing, falls, and using gravity. Because it is not so rigid in rules, contemporary dance is very accessible, has a great range of movement and can be performed to any style of music. Unlike other conventional dance styles, it is freer and offers the possibility to explore the creativity of a dancer.     Private Classes Private classes are a great opportunity for children or adults to improve themselves through individual attention and advice from the teacher. Classes are concentrated on individual training and provide special attention and feedback from the teacher, who will guide you in every step of the journey and will customize the lessons for you. The instructor will motivate, support and inspire you, and will provide you with challenging exercises in order to develop flexibility, strength and stamina faster. Private lessons are a great addition to group classes. Private ballet classes can help you to prepare for a performance, audition, for an exam or just simply for your own development.
