Contemporary Contemporary dance emerged in the mid 20th century. It is a genre of dance which combines several styles and is influenced by both classical and modern ballet. It is considered a very expressive and dynamic form of dance. It incorporates fluidity of movement, focus on the floor work, bouncing, falls, and using gravity. Because it is not so rigid in rules, contemporary dance is very accessible, has a great range of movement and can be performed to any style of music. Unlike other conventional dance styles, it is freer and offers the possibility to explore the creativity of a dancer. - CoVid 19 | Baldovin Ballet Zagreb
CoVid-19 is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(Sars-cov-2) and affects different people in different ways.The virus spreads primarily via small droplets produces by coughing, sneezing and talking. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization. Most common symptoms Fever, dry cough, tiredness Less common symptoms aches and pain,sore throat, diarrhea, conjunctivitis headache, loss of taste and smell, rash on skin Recommended measures to prevent infection include wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, maintaining social distance from others, covering coughs and keeping hands away from your face. Be responsible, lets stay safe together. Baldovin Ballet Zagreb is being responsible by disinfecting frequently used areas multiple times a day, by offering hand sanitizer at the studio, optimal distancing between changing places in the wardrobes and also by not accepting a bigger number than 10 in any of the dance programs that we offer. We are kindly asking our students to be responsible and not to come to the studio with fever or any other of the known Covid-19 symptoms in order not to spread the virus to other any other students, teachers, staff, visitors or any other member or our community.

Neoclassical Ballet Neoclassical ballet developed from classical ballet in the 1920s and evolved throughout the 20th century. It uses advanced techniques of classical ballet to open up new dance ideas. It uses minimalist costumes and sets, with no strict and rigorous structure. Neoclassical ballet was known as the revival or adaptation of classical ballet and is defined by the abstract movements and new positions outside the classical ballet, and a slightly touch of risque in physicality. Modern Ballet Modern ballet is genre of dance which developed in the early 20th century as a new way of expression, a more free and natural one, as opposed to the traditional, highly technical classical ballet. Being focused on spontaneity and self expression, the classes can develop your creative thinking by allowing you to have more freedom in the movement and to obtain better physical and emotional awareness. This class might contain classical ballet vocabulary combined with different elements and it can be more accessible for dancers without many restrictions in choreography or improvisation. About Us Baldovin Ballet Zagreb was founded in 2020 by Iva Vrgoč and George Alexandru Baldovin , former ballet dancer in HNK Zagreb, SNG Maribor, European Ballet London, Opera House Bucharest, Opera House Iasi and Opera House Constanta. During his career he had the opportunity to work with world wide ranked choreographers like Vladimir Malachov, Nacho Duato, Irek Muchamedov, Eduard Clug, Patrice Bart, Youri Vamos, Leo Mujić, Valeri Koftun, Victor Litvinov, Derek Dean, Van Mannen, Milko Sparemblek, Lorca Massine, Joyce Cuoco, Vladimir Drevianko, Pascal Tozeau, Paul Boos (George Balanchine trust). Currently a freelance professional ballet dancer, choreographer and music composer, he desires to share his knowledge and experience to promote the art of classical ballet. George Alexandru Baldovin George Baldovin was born in Iasi, Romania, to a family of artists. With the help of his brother, Jul Baldovin, he was introduced into world of music. He started to play guitar-vocal in a variety of genres, including pop,folk,country,blues,j azz. At the age of 12 he began ballet school "Octav Bancila" Iasi while still continuing with his music. He and his brother started a band called"Baldwin Brothers”. Their band won awards and concerts in Romania and abroad . George began his professional career as a ballet dancer at early age, first in Opera House Iasi and Opera House Constanta. Soon after he joined the Opera House Maribor-Slovenia, under direction of Eduard Clug, In 2007 he moved to London to join European Ballet London. He performed with HNK Zagreb first in 2008 and then again in 2010, where he stayed for almost ten years. Throughout his ballet career he performed demi-soloist and soloist roles in all the major classical ballets as well as in modern ballets. In parallel with his ballet career, he composed instrumental-electronic music for modern and contemporary ballets, for media, and has collaborated with different musical artists.
