    Lucija Kukor Lucija Kukor, born in Zagreb on June 15, 1990. She started her dance journey at the age of 9 in the dance club "Megablast" (Velika Gorica). She soon enrolled in primary and then secondary dance school Franjo Lučić, Velika Gorica. In the dance school she had classes in ballet, contemporary dance techniques, rhythmics, step dance, folklore, jazz, anatomy, solfeggio, piano, methodology, vocal techniques and stage practice, which last year ended with the play "Interval" (choreographers Masa Kolar and Zoran Markovic ). She participated in various competitions with the dance club “Megablast” and with the dance school, at the national and world level. After graduating from dance school, she was invited to Zagreb theater “Komedija”. She also enrolls at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb and, in parallel with Zagreb theater “Komedija”, realizes various collaborations and projects. Lucija also makes various commercial appearances on television, concerts, commercials and videos. In addition to dancing, she has a great passion for singing and she performed at the „Vip Club“ under the leadership of Lela Kaplowitz and at the Brass Velika Gorica Jazz Festival independently and with the band „Cubismo“. Also, in parallel, she continuously invested in her dance knowledge through various seminars and workshops both in Croatia and abroad. In the meantime, she earned MA in the field of „Management“ at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. 2019. she went to Israel in order to participate in dance program under Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company “Dance Journey program”. In addition to the repertoire of the company, program included classes like ballet, pilates, floor work, gaga movement and guest teachers. Following her progress and noticing her uniqueness, Rami Be’er, the artistic director of the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, invites Lucija to join the main company as an intern. In 2020. Lucija goes to Israel again, and joins the KCDC as an intern.     Contemporary Contemporary dance emerged in the mid 20th century. It is a genre of dance which combines several styles and is influenced by both classical and modern ballet. It is considered a very expressive and dynamic form of dance. It incorporates fluidity of movement, focus on the floor work, bouncing, falls, and using gravity. Because it is not so rigid in rules, contemporary dance is very accessible, has a great range of movement and can be performed to any style of music. Unlike other conventional dance styles, it is freer and offers the possibility to explore the creativity of a dancer.     CoVid-19 is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(Sars-cov-2) and affects different people in different ways.The virus spreads primarily via small droplets produces by coughing, sneezing and talking. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization. Most common symptoms Fever, dry cough, tiredness Less common symptoms aches and pain,sore throat, diarrhea, conjunctivitis headache, loss of taste and smell, rash on skin Recommended measures to prevent infection include wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, maintaining social distance from others, covering coughs and keeping hands away from your face. Be responsible, lets stay safe together. Baldovin Ballet Zagreb is being responsible by disinfecting frequently used areas multiple times a day, by offering hand sanitizer at the studio, optimal distancing between changing places in the wardrobes and also by not accepting a bigger number than 10 in any of the dance programs that we offer. We are kindly asking our students to be responsible and not to come to the studio with fever or any other of the known Covid-19 symptoms in order not to spread the virus to other any other students, teachers, staff, visitors or any other member or our community.

    Eugen Mihai Dobrescu Eugen Mihai Dobrescu was born in Bucharest-Romania. He attend the ballet school "Floria Capsali "-Bucharest at the age of 10 and graduates in 1998. He continues his education attending at the university of ballet "Gheorghe Cristea" and he graduates in 2004 on the choreography department. He starts working as a professional ballet dancer at age of 18 at Opera House Bucharest and soon after he becomes principal ballet dancer. After 6 years with the Bucharest Opera House he joins the Slovene Opera House Maribor, under the direction of Eduard Clug as a principal dancer where he performs for several years followed by tours and different galas and events. In 2007 he joins HNK Zagreb as first soloist where he performs for 10 years in all the major classical and modern ballets. During his career he guesting and performing with the companies abroad in Germany, Netherlands, Italy, United States of America, France, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia and Hungary.     Why should I become a recreational ballet student? Adult ballet offers numerous benefits for body and mind: improves flexibility, improves the body posture and alignment, strengthens the muscles, increases stamina and coordination, builds self-confidence, improves concentration, and reduces mental tension All of these benefit a greater quality of life. Children Ballet For how long do the ballet classes last? Recreational classical ballet for children lasts for 60 minutes (one hour). Can I take photos or video? Yes you can but for personal use only. For any online distribution you must require our approval. Can I watch my child in class? Yes, you can, after consultation with the teacher. We recommend as few visits in class as possible as it will be easier for your child to maintain the required concentration. What should I bring to class for my child? Dance shoes, leotard, tights or sweatpants and t-shirt, a bottle of water or or any other preferred refreshments. Visit our recommended dress code and conduct page. How my child can become a recreational ballet student? You can register online, or contact us via email or phone or visit us at the studio in Mesnička 5 and we will find the best way that suits you and your child so that he/she can start the ballet lessons as soon as possible. How can I bring and collect my child safely? Please make sure to arrive at the studio with your child at least 15 minutes before class. The teacher will wait for them at the studio. Be at the studio with a minimum of 10 minutes before the end of the class. How many children can be in a group? Baldovin Ballet Zagreb focuses on middle size groups as every student deserves a chance to get more attention and corrections from the teacher. I'm a total beginner, where to start? Don't worry, we got you covered! You don't need any previous experience.The best way to start is by joining the classical ballet beginners programs or if you want a more efficient way, you can start with private classes. Is my age right for ballet? Our programs are made for everyone who meet the age requirement of 5 years old so we believe that you can find a program that suits you. Are ballet classes available for men? Ballet isn't just for women. We encourage men to benefit from recreational ballet as well. How many classes do you advise me to take per week? You can choose any number of classes per week, although we recommend a minimum of 2-3 a week, depending on an individual in order to learn the language through regular training. Can I have a free trial class or come to visit during a training? Yes, Baldovin Ballet Zagreb offers one complementary trail ballet class for anybody who is interested in our programs. For how long do the ballet classes last? Classical ballet classes can last between 75 and 90 minutes depending on the number of students. All the other programs in our studio last for 60 minutes. What should I wear? Students may wear what makes them move freely like form-fitting athletic wear but we recommend the traditional leotard and tights/leggings or sweatpants and t-shirt at your choice and ballet shoes. Visit our recommended dress code and conduct page. What else should I bring to class? We also recommend some backup clothes in case of excessive sweating, a towel, a bottle of water or or any other preferred refreshments. How many students can be in a group? We don't recommend to take classes if you are injured or pregnant unless you have consulted with your doctor. Is there a place to leave valuables? Our wardrobe is equipped with a small closet for every student that can be locked during the classes with a key. Entrance to the studio won't be possible from outside without permission from the staff. Are there showers? Yes, we provide one (1) shower cabin. Is the building safe to be in? Our building is safe and has a green label after the Zagreb earthquake of 22 March 2020. Do you provide WiFi? Yes, we do provide WiFi internet. Is the public transportation close? Yes, we have public transportation close to studio (1 minute walk ) towards all the main directions in Zagreb. Do you provide a private parking? We don't provide private parking, but there are 3 city parking garages very close to the studio (1 minute).
