Dress code Dress code is not mandatory but recommended by Baldovin Ballet Zagreb. It is important for children (and adults) because it connects the students to the atmosphere of the class and makes them comfortable, and a part of the training session. Ballet shoes (no alternative) You can wear socks in the first few classes as a beginner but once we advance, the socks must be replaced with ballet shoes. Socks can may make you slip and cause injury. Ballet shoes will help you feel the exercises better and are a sign of respect towards the ballet class and the ballet teacher. Students may wear what makes them move freely, like form-fitting athletic wear, but we recommend the traditional leotard and tights/leggings or sweatpants and t-shirt. About us Baldovin Ballet Zagreb was founded in 2020 by Iva Vrgoč and George Alexandru Baldovin. George Alexandru Baldovin is a former ballet dancer in HNK Zagreb, SNG Maribor, European Ballet London, Opera House Bucharest, Opera House Iasi and Opera House Constanta. During his career, George Alexandru Baldovin had the opportunity to work with the worldwide highest ranked choreographers like Vladimir Malakhov, Nacho Duato, Irek Mukhamedov, Edward Clug, Patrice Bart, Youri Vámos, Leo Mujić, Patrice Bart, Victor Litvinov, Derek Dean, Hans Van Mannen, Milko Šparemblek, Lorca Massine, Joyce Cuoco, Vladimir Derevianko, Pascal Touzeau, Paul Boos (George Balanchine Trust). Currently, as a freelance professional ballet dancer, choreographer, and music composer, he desires to share his knowledge and experience to promote the art of classical ballet. We are thrilled to have you join us for this extraordinary ballet educational event. Before you proceed with your participation, please read and understand the following terms and conditions: 1. Event Dates and Duration: a. Master Ballet Education will take place from 1 July 2023 until 8 July 2023. b. The event comprises an 8-day program, consisting of a presentation day, 6 days of workshops and the stage presentation day. Workshops include various classical ballet classes, training workshops, classical ballet technique workshops, modern ballet, contemporary workshops, repertoire workshops, and neoclassical workshops. c. The event will also include an audition with Mr. Ken Ludden for Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet. (Exclusively for students attending ballet schools/academies) 2. Participant Eligibility: a. Professional dancers, recreational dancers with intermediate to advanced knowledge of classical or modern ballet, and students at ballet high schools (minimum 13 years of age with a written parental approval) and ballet academies are eligible to attend. b. Participation in the auditions for Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet is restricted to students from ballet schools/academies only. 3. Registration Process: a. Master Ballet Education does not provide accommodation nor cover travel expenses, travel insurance, or food expenses. c. Ballet for children A journey to dance Recreational or preschool ballet class for children is created in order to inspire and encourage children from an early age to discover the passion for dance. The recreational children’s ballet program is influenced by the trends in the preschool ballet techniques. It is carefully designed to be the perfect introduction to the basics of dance. It encourages our children to stay healthy, be physically active, build a sense for musicality and rhythm, and gain discipline. Ballet classes can also help your child to become comfortable in dancing or performing in class or in front of the public . It contributes in building strong self-confidence. Being at the studio is a fun way for your child to meet other kids and socialize in a constructive manner. Register “ BALLERINA’S“ Kod čovjeka je pokret prisutan već u majčinom trbuhu. Pokret i ples njegova su iskonska potreba i najprirodniji način izražavanja. Djeluju odgojno na cjelokupni djetetov psihofizički razvoj. Razvijanje motorike, samodiscipline, izražavanje emocija, razvoj smisla za estetiku, koordinacija, koncentracija samo su neke od dobrobiti plesa i pokreta u dječjem razvoju ali i kasnije. Ples je za djecu najprirodniji način izražavanja sebe te veliki pokretač razvoja kreativnosti i spontanosti. Kreativnost u pokretu ima važnu ulogu u procesu poticanja intenzivnog ranog razvoja djeteta predškolske dobi (Janković, 2010.). Ples je umjetnost koja integrira psihološki, kognitivni, emocionalni i socijalni aspekt ljudskog postojanja. Program Ballerina“s obuhvaća znanja stečena na studiju baletne pedagogije i psihoterapije pokretom i plesom. Kroz igru ćemo istraživati i upoznavati dijelove tijela, a improvizacijom poticati kreativnost, socijalni kontakt i razvoj suradnje. Upoznat ćemo se s osnovama klasičnog baleta kroz osnovne pozicije ruku i nogu, prostornu orijentaciju i istraživanje kvalitete/dinamike pokreta. Razvijat ćemo fleksibilnost, koncentraciju, koordinaciju, disciplinu i izražajnost. Kroz različite vježbe upoznavat ćemo se s glazbom i njezinim elementima, istraživat ćemo ritmove i odnos glazbe i plesa. Djeca će imati prilike upoznati glazbu velikih klasičnih baleta, izvoditi plesne pokrete i uvježbavati plesne koreografije. Koristit ćemo se rekvizitima koji će kod djece potaknuti kreativnost, dok će pozitivna atmosfera puna podrške nastojati potaknuti veselje u pokretanju vlastitog tijela, razvijati maštu i svjesnost o vlastitim emocijama. Program Ballerina“s, osim usvajanjem plesnih koraka, bavi se i poticanjem izražavanja emocija te znanjima stečenim kroz četverogodišnju edukaciju psihoterapije pokretom i plesom nastoji djeci pomoći da kroz pronalaženje unutarnjih resursa nauče izražavati i upravljati jakim osjećajima. Ples kroz neverbalni pristup omogućava poticanje razvoja samopoštovanja i autonomnosti, poboljšanje prilagođavanja na različite situacije i smanjenje napetosti raznim vježbama opuštanja i disanja. Svaki sat kreiran je na način da ima početak koji nas povezuje, zagrijava, sredinu u kojoj se razrađuje tema, usvajaju ili ponavljaju naučeni plesni elementi i kraj u kojem integriramo ono što se zbivalo u procesu rada na satu. Djeca će imati prilike sama osmisliti plesne igre i aktivnosti (koreografija, improvizacija, crtanje, pričanje) uz stručno vodstvo u sigurnom prostoru. Classical Ballet Classical ballet is recognized as the foundation of all styles of dance and is known for graceful movement, long body lines and complex technique. Recreational adult ballet works on the same principles and theories, but is adjusted and designed for this group. It allows the students to work in their own tempo in a relaxed environment. The focus of recreational ballet is to develop a great awareness of the art of ballet, to refine the quality of the body, gain strength and flexibility, and to improve coordination and body posture without having any pressure of exams or performances.
